The charm of WCLAGOS is that we welcome a diverse lineup of talented speakers to provide value to our broad audience. We are accepting talks from all areas of expertise and are also hoping to attract relevant experts from outside the WordPress world. If you have a topic you\u2019re passionate about, don\u2019t hesitate to apply!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000\"><b>How long should your presentation be?<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\">We are planning the following session formats:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\">Regular talk \u2013 45 minutes covering your core session and a Q&amp;A session.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\">Regular Workshop talk \u2013 60 minutes covering your core session and a Q&amp;A session.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\">Extended Workshop talk \u2013 90 minutes covering your core session and a Q&amp;A session.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\">We would be having three main tracks and three concurrent breakout sessions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000\"><b>Do I have to be an experienced speaker to apply?<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\">WordCamp Lagos will be a large WordPress-related conference in Nigeria and West Africa so it is recommended that you have some speaking experience. Speaking in front of a large audience can be overwhelming even for more experienced speakers, which is why we want to lend a helping hand. This year, the Content Team will be \u00a0sharing resources and tips on how to put together a successful presentation as well as how to be more comfortable on stage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When reviewing speaker applications, we will take your previous speaking experience into account. If you speak at any public event between your application time and the Word Camp Lagos, you can always let us know and we\u2019ll update your application profile.
